Offset printing films are used for transfer printing. Transfer printing is the transfer of a design onto a fabric using a specially coated paper printed by an inkjet printer or color copier. The design is applied to the fabric with a hot iron or a heat press.
High contrast emulsion are used for light sensitive coatings of offset printing film, restricting the reproduction to only two values, black and white. The metal plate used for offset printing is covered with a light-sensitive coating, which allows the image to be transferred from the film. Offset white ink is very transparent and usually requires two hits of white. All offset print products have a clear UV flood coat to improve ink resistance.
