Something else to consider is making the concrete thicker under where the lift will go. If you plan out exactly where it will go, you can have a foot thick in that spot and only have a yard or two extra.
And then you mention rebar. You may want to have some sort of visual markers outside the pad of where the rebar is. That way when the lift comes in 6months or more after the concrete is poured, you still know where the rebar is so you can avoid it during drilling. Bonus points if you already know what lift you'll be getting so you can look at the hole spacing and make sure your rebar allows for it.
