Manufacturing varies can depend on the organisation type large companies are likely to manufacture products themselves, and they tend to do this on a large scale in order to be able to buy resources in bulk in order to save a substantial amount of money. Small businesses tend to design their own products but may not have the ability to manufacture; therefore they usually hire other companies to manufacture for them - this can be quite costly, so they commonly perform manufacturing on a large scale

As Document A states, these machines were crucial because they put less strain on the human body. Too much manual labor on a day to day basis can lead to severe mental exhaustion. Mechanized factories helped alleviate that issue to a high degree. New agricultural technology such as the Jethro Tull Horse Drawn Seed Drill, which made farming more efficient because it was able to plant, cover and harvest crops simultaneously. Since farming was now more accessible, the price of crops went down due to higher supply with the same demand.

Assembly lines are fast enough that if one person falls behind, everyone's work is messed up. Although mass production was a big success in industries, it was not worth the cost. Injuries of workers are easily able to occur because the line is always moving and standing there in one spot just causes pain on the backs. Also because many injuries may occur at any time, there are always replacement for each worker working in the assembly line. Since there are many immigrants available for each jobs, jobs are harder to stay maintained.

Machining Principle, Advantages and Disadvantages of CNC ...

CNC lathe is an automatic machine tool controlled by the program. The control system can logically process the program with control code or other symbolic instructions, and decode it by computer, so as to make the machine operate and process parts. The blank is processed into semi-finished and finished parts by tool cutting.

The machining process of the CNC lathe

CNC index control machine tool is programmed and controlled by CNC machining language, usually, G code. CNC machining G code language tells the CNC machine tool which Cartesian position coordinates are used for machining tools and controls the tool feed speed and spindle speed, as well as the tool converter, coolant, and other functions. CNC machining has great advantages over manual machining. For example, the parts produced by CNC machining are very accurate and repeatable; CNC machining can produce parts with complex shapes that cannot be completed by manual machining. CNC machining technology has been widely promoted. Most machining workshops have CNC machining capabilities. The most common CNC machining methods in typical machining workshops are CNC milling, CNC lathe, and CNC EDM wire cutting (WEDM). The tool for CNC milling is called a CNC milling machine or CNC machining center. The lathe used for numerical control turning is called a numerical control turning center. CNC machining G code can be manually programmed, but usually, the machining workshop uses cam (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to automatically read CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and generate a G code program to control the CNC machine tool.

CNC

machining has the following advantages:

  1. The number of tooling is greatly reduced, and complex tooling is not required for machining parts with complex shapes. If you want to change the shape and size of a part, you only need to modify the part processing program, which is applicable to the development and modification of new products.

  1. It has stable processing quality, high processing precision, and high repetition precision, and can meet the processing requirements of aircraft.

  1. The production efficiency is higher in the case of multi-variety and small batch production, which can reduce the time of production preparation, machine tool adjustment, and process inspection, and reduce the cutting time due to the use of the best cutting amount.

  1. It can process complex surfaces that are difficult to be processed by conventional methods, and even process some unobservable machining parts.

Disadvantages of CNC machining

The disadvantage of CNC machining is that the cost of machine tools and equipment is expensive, and maintenance personnel are required to have a high level.
