CRYOGENIC TANKS - Deha Tech

Cryogenic tanks are used for materials that have to be stored in liquefied form at very low temperatures. At ambient temperature, these products would be gaseous.

Deha Tech`s Cryogenic Tanks can be used for a wide range of applications. These form part of gas supply systems to be used in a wide range of applications, including metal processing, medical technology, electronics, water treatment, energy generation industry.

We offer cryogenic tanks for the following liquefied gases:

  • Liquid nitrogen (LIN)
  • Liquid argon (LAR)
  • Liquid oxygen (LOX)
  • Liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2)
  • Liquid hydrogen (LH2)
  • Liquid natural gas (LNG)
  • Liquid nitrous oxide (LN2O)

From specialty heat exchangers through to delivery systems, designed and built products are fundamental to the cryogenic separation, delivery and storage of above gases

Features of Our Cryogenic Tanks:

  • Each tank is vacuum-insulated
  • Can be delivered as a vertical or horizontal installation
  • The inner vessels and piping are made of stainless steel to ensure high-grade cleanliness
  • The outside shell is specially coated

The cryogenic design of high capacity tanks combines superior quality vacuum-perlite insulation with safe, flexible and economical operation. High capacity cryogenic tanks can be designed both vertically and horizontally. These tanks are used for industrial gas storage as well as for long-term LNG storage.

Large capacity Vertical and Horizontal Tanks are range of large capacity vertical tanks for liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon and LNG service. The flow diagram is adapted to customized installation requirements.

Cryogenic tanks are especially suited to large industrial gas consumers. We specialize in designing and manufacturing vertical or horizontal bulk liquid tanks for your unique applications.

We work closely with each of our customers to ensure that your system is designed properly, further ensuring your system is built to operate at peak efficiency. Built for long-term integrity, our system components and product designs provide the highest levels of performance at the lowest operating costs.

Cryogenic storage tanks have a lot of industrial applications. The construction and working of these vessels is important to understand if you wish to invest in them.

The cryogenic storage tank constitues of two concentric vessels. The inner vessel is cylindrical in shape with spherical heads and is surrounded by an outer vessel. The space between the two vessels is filled with an insulating material which helps to maintain a vacuum in the interspace. These pressure vessels are specifically designed to hold cryogens with extremely low temperatures, internal pressure and external vacuum. This is the actual pressure vessel. The vacuum jacket in the interspace acts as a support structure for the inner vessel.

There are times, these cryogenic storage tanks encounter some issues:

  • Mechanical problems: These can be dealt with as long as they do not affect the safety features of the tanks.

  • De-pressurization and re-pressurization may occur even though cryogenic storage vessels operate at constant working pressures.

  • Problems involving operational inconvenience can be solved by servicing these tanks regularly.

The occasional loss of vacuum in the interspace is not a safety problem. When it occursduring the tank operation, the additional insulation material is used i.e, the vacuum jacket pressure acts as a relief device to avoid damage. However, further loss of vacuum could affect the integrity of the system and should be investigated immediately.

INOX India is a leading cryogenic storage tank manufacturer and is well-known throughout the world. Cryogenic vessels manufactured by INOX are operated above atmospheric pressure and hence, are designed and manufactured to the highest standards.

The materials used in the construction of cryogenic storage vessels are alloys of:

  • aluminium
  • austenitic stainless steel
  • copper

These materials are used as they are resistant to breakage at low temperatures. They are not brittle and do not crack even after years of service. They are resistant to corrosion and the mechanical tensile strength of these materials is much higher than other metals. Cryogenic storage vessels in INOX India are also characterized by the aforementioned.

We provide single walled, double walled and composite concrete steel tanks to name a few from our wide range of storage vessels. These vessels can also be installed at the customer premises with other equipment like cold converters.

Make a choice by choosing the right manufacturer. It can be the difference between buying equipment that lasts for a few months and an undamaged vessel that lasts for multiple years.
