Polyethylene terephthalate is a polyester series of amorphous plastic resins. The heat shrinkable film produced by PETG is a high density film with a high strength ratio and excellent clarity. The PETG Shrink film is suitable for all kinds of printing technologies from ROTOGRAVURE to FLEXO PRESS using solvent based to UV cured ink. Its inherent shrink characteristics allow to cover almost all the container with contoured shaped arriving to 78% shrink on transverse direction without having any contraction on the longitudinal direction avoiding also the problematic “smile effect” on the bottom side of the containers.
Compared with other films, PETG film is more environmentally friendly, PETG heat shrink film can be used to package PET bottles or containers, so PETG shrink film is an ideal solution for container shrink film with complex geometries and requirements.
B7X is matte white PETG film designed to have high ultimate transverse direction (TD) shrink coupled with machine direction (MD) growth. The B7X offers high opacity in contrast to clear films for enhanced light protection of the package contents, and the bright white color accentuates print graphics to produce a highly appealing label to consumers. The matte finish and opacity are achieved by micro-voiding the film. The micro-voiding reduces the specific gravity making it a high-yield film in comparison to clear PETG films. Flexographic, offset, or digital printing are the preferred print methods for B7X. A water based antistatic coating is applied to one side of the film that is wound to be the outside surface of the finished roll. The inside surface of the film is the preferred print side.
