How do you connect stainless steel sheets?

Glueing stainless steel sheet to wall

I am remodeling our kitchen and part of the effort is to create a SST backsplash behind the counter top stove. I have a 24×36 sheet of stainless which is the perfect size and am wondering what is best to attach it to the sheet rock. It has 4 holes, one in each corner and I will be using those (probably with anchors as the studs will not be where I need them) but I want to use a glue of some kind to ensure complete bonding of the full sheet.

Being behind the stove top means it will see some moderate heat. Any recommendations for a glue? Specific brand recommendations will be appreciated

Thank you in advance

Adhesive recommendation...stainless steel to masonry

Ok, I made a leap, there.

Another trick I use for this sort of thing is a variation on the french cleat.
I bend a U shape along the top edge, and then screw a cleat, which can be another U, or a Z, to the wall, and hang the sheet metal on that. This works where the metal doesnt need to be perfectly flat against the wall.

I have used the 3M doublesided foam tape- its what they used for a while to put aluminum skins on buses- and its very sticky, but I dont know if I would trust it long term. I actually used it to stick textured stainless steel, from Rigidized in Buffalo, to a plywood substrate, but that was for an interior use. And the tape is very expensive, not easy to find at retail, and unforgiving. Once its stuck, its stuck, and there are no do-overs.

Hilti is good for structural, but not for a face to face bond like what you have here.

I think Liquid nails may be just fine, especially if its interior. Enough tack to stay where you put it, enough working time to get it right, cheap, and easy to apply.
